I am currently writing my first book and really enjoying the whole process. Don’t get me wrong, writing a full-length novel is as daunting for me as it is for anyone else. Having said that, the more I write the better I feel. It is great to inch your way towards the end of your book. Once you have completed your novel, you can share it with the world and the fun part begins.
I started this process by not writing anything at all. Pre-writing, the first stage of writing, involves coming up with an idea for a written piece. I tried to think of something original, being influenced by the fantasy genre. I didn’t want to make something like Harry Potter, a superhero book or Star Wars. So, I came up with an idea for a book centered on energy and people with extraordinary energy powers.
After developing the plot, I started writing. Drafting is the second stage of the process. I am still doing this. Once done, I will move on to revising, editing and, finally, publishing. Mersa’s Surge of Energy is a joy writing; I would recommend the process for anyone. Seriously, give writing a try and see if you like it.
