How to Grow a Following

I want to start off with a disclaimer. I don’t have millions of followers. Heck, I haven’t cracked a thousand. That does not mean I don’t know the secret too getting loads of followers. Coming from internet royalty, the secret to blogging or online success is to work hard, post quality work and to persevere.

First of all, you don’t grow a big audience overnight. Just like natural growth, it happens gradually. That is why you need to work hard to ensure that it does happen, eventually. Sure, you can gain more followers at times. People have growth spurts, but that does not mean they will grow a meter a day.

For that same reason, you should try to persevere. The beginning might be hard, but the rewards are sweet. Just imagine you sharing your thoughts and ideas to thousands, if not millions, of people. Won’t that be worth it? Hang in there, and you just might blow up.

Finally, make sure to focus on the quality of your blog posts. Frequency is great, but people are drawn to great ideas and topics. You should find your writing voice, if you’re blogging. If you start a vlog, then be prepared to work on your speaking. I’m sure you all have quality work in you.

To sum up, hard work, post quality and perserverance are the keys to blog success. You don’t grow completely overnight, just as you don’t fully grow physically in a day. With that being said, you should perservere. Hang in there, and post quality work. The rewards are worth it.

  1. 🙂 You do not have to reach or surpass one thousand followers to know that it takes time to grow a following.

You did rather well in the area of making your point clear. So, I have to say, “Great post!”
